The WordPress dashboard is where you manage and customise your website, including adding new content, updating plugins, and adjusting settings. Logging in is simple and quick if you know where to go. This article explains the steps to access your WordPress dashboard in a straightforward manner.
Step 1: Open Your Web Browser
Start by opening your preferred web browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
Step 2: Locate the Login URL
The login URL for your WordPress dashboard typically follows this format:
www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin
Replace "yourwebsite.com" with your website's domain name. For example, if your website is called "example.com," the login page will be:
www.example.com/wp-admin
Alternatively, you may use:
www.yourwebsite.com/wp-login.php
Type this URL into your browser’s address bar and press Enter.
Step 3: Enter Your Credentials
On the WordPress login page, you will see two fields:
- Username or Email Address: Enter the username or email address associated with your WordPress account.
- Password: Enter your account password.
If you’ve forgotten your password, click the “Lost your password?” link. Follow the instructions to reset it.
Step 4: Click the Login Button
After entering your credentials, click the “Log In” button. You will now be redirected to your WordPress dashboard.
